Just curious.. why are you using HTML instead of wiki markup for your userpage? If it wasn't your userpage I would revert it :) - sik0fewl 16:24, 16 Feb 2005 (EST)

Oh, sorry, I didn't know HTML was forbidden... :)
Seriously, I'm used to HTML and I'm glad it's supported. Why learn new tags if the familiar ones are possible?

sik0fewl (posted on 3 Mar 2005):

Of course it's forbidden :) The reason for learning the new tags is because when people edit a wiki page they should only need to know wiki markup. Adding HTML to the mix makes it confusing for those who don't know HTML. Of course none of this really matters for your user page since nobody should be editing it but you. However, if you plan on contributing to any of the other pages you should be using wiki markup, and what better place to start learning it than your own userpage? :)

Well, I've got so much work to do - school takes most of the time, actually - therefore, I'm not currently thinking of adding tutorials to wiki - considering that all major things had already been added. Also I think I'm not skilled enough to share wisdom and would prefer to study first. Maybe later I'll put some tutorials for the public... :)

P.S. As you pointed out people will need to edit pages - I agree. But these people are usually skilled programmers with large experience who know much of the HTML, Java, VB, C++ etc. So I don't think editing posts would be the problem for them. But thanks anyway! :)
