Avaliability

I am avaliable to do Beta Testing for any game you may have. I can work with any genre, but have particular interest in RPGs, Strategy (Turn-based and Real-time), FPS and Arcade games.

About me

General info

Well, what is there to say? Well, I'm (at writing) a 21 year old undergraduate student, studying BA Management and Marketing at The University of Hull. My original aim was to somehow break into the professional games industry through learning and honing my programming skills, though as you can see below, my skills are somewhat lacking in that department. So, I've resigned myself to concentrating on my degree, and once I graduate I plan to take some part time courses in VB and C/C++, while using my degree to break into the support side of the industry (namely, the marketing of new games). It was only recently that I've become extremely interested in Indie development, and how they thrive due to their flexibility and originality. As can be seen with my skills, I have spread my learning to all areas of game development. However, I now wish to focus on game programming (which is also my weakest skill set), whilst holding a basic grasp over the rest of game development in order to develop basic, small and entertaining games as a lone developer.

Hobbies

Playing games! Lots of them. I also enjoy designing them, though as yet not one has ever made it past the intial concept. Perhaps when my skills improve? Other hobbies include excessive drinking (being a student!), excessive sleeping (again, student!) and hanging out with the boys!

Occupation

I'm a Student! I also work part-time at my Student Union's Box Office. Over vacations I work full-time to keep the debts at bay!

Family

Dorothy Walker, Mother
My mum is currently the Manager of Hazelhurst Care Home, which looks after the elderly. I live with my mum and my step father in a little village just outside horsham, and she cooks the best steak pie in the world!

W. Ian Walker, Father
My dad lives in coulsdon, along with my step mum and my half brother. He is an Accountant working for his own firm, CEDIM Consulting Ltd.

The Rest of the Clan
Other than my parents, there is Maxine, my step mother and a civil servant and Peter, my step father, who does odds and ends. As for siblings, I have two brothers: David (26) and Edward (12 - he's also my half brother), and one sister: Sarah (18).
