The wiki is now hosted by GameDev.NET at wiki.gamedev.net. All gpwiki.org content has been moved to the new server. However, the GPWiki forums are still active! Come say hello. I am chemisus; of course that is not my real name. If you really want to find that out, just do a decent search on me; anyone can find it. I am currently a student at University of Central Florida for computer science. I have programmed mainly for the windows environment for quite a few years. This includes asp/aspx, sqlserver 2000/2005, vb6, vb.net, and of course, my favorite of them all, c#. However, I have given up windows and upgraded to linux. I have decided to trade c# and directx for c++ and opengl. I am enjoying it also. I have been using linux for a little over a year now, and the only thing i miss are the games. i hope to solve that. I am currently working on my own game and game engine. I dont expect it to be anything more then a hobby project of mine, and as i research and learn things, hopefully i can make some useful contributions to the wiki. |
