I started programming in Assembly in the early 80s. My first project was to write a terminal program for the Commodore 128 that could handle a military 56k satellite modem, since the built-in routines didn't poll the buffers quickly enough. It worked, by the way. Since that time, I've programmed in Amos, C/C++/C#, Fortran, Javascript, Logo, PHP, and T-SQL (which I do consider a language) and most flavors of BASIC. About 7 years ago I landed two contract jobs for two pieces of educational software, one of which was very game-like. I then decided to make a game I'd been wanting to play, WordWars. It was completed under the banner of Atomic Monks[1] and is available in stores as part of the eGames Deluxe Card & Board Game 2 bundle. My day job is government-contract web development. My current project is version 2.0 of Mutant Freaks of Nature[2]. I contribute here as best I can; my tutorials are here. More will be coming. |
