Game Flaws
- BMU = (Button Mix-Up) Using a myriad of different buttons for menus, skipping dialogue, playing the game, etc. Also using the mouse for the menu when only the keyboard is used in the game.
- LDS = (Long Death Sequence) Especially important if the player dies a lot, annoying death sequence just cause frustration.
- OTT = (One Time Through) A clear give-away that polish was skipped. The game, like some sort of demo, was only coded for playing a single time before exiting.
- BS = (Bad Sound) Rough beeps or boops or some guy at a microphone or midi programmer music that you can't turn off. Not really a peeve of mine.
- SC = (Simple Clone) The game copies other games but it does so in a basic way and often repeats the cloned object or mechanic ad nauseum.
- AAA = (Awful Art Attack) The GUI looks like Windows 3.1, the character is straight out of the last Nintendo game, one level looks like Van Gogh and the next level is Picasso, and you can see the pixels on the stretched out grass texture.
- FUG = (Fragile Unstable Game) Your afraid to change the settings because it might crash. It throws an exception when you quit. Or maybe you find yourself manually backing up save files so you don't lose all your progress.
- BAF = (Big Ass Flaw) If a game has a BAF it usually prevents anyone from getting past it and enjoying the rest of the game. Common ones include collision detection, no-point gameplay, incomprehensible rules or mechanics (either nonsensical or complex), bad controls, and camera hell.
