Corrections: Dune I was an adventure game. Dune II was the world's first RTS. It came before the Pentium. As a matter of fact it handled its lots of units on a 20 MHz MC68020 Amiga!

Dune I was an adventure / TBS / RTS like game, sounds pretty strange but it played all right. It certainly wasn't an RTS as we now know it. But, IIRC, Herzog Zwei was the first RTS...
