Talk:Game Ideas
From GPWikiI dont know if all this indie talk is a bit offtopic ... I also wonder How the game ideas should be presented .. one big list, or links to sub-pages? --Kasper Hviid 04:17, 21 Oct 2004 (EDT) We'll just see how it grows, stuff can always be moved around. --Marijn For those who are interested, this page resulted from this thread over at the Linux Game Tome. --Ryan Clark 08:27, 21 Oct 2004 (EDT) People might want to add a comment to one of the game ideas, as it is the case with 'stickfighter'. I think that such comments are a good thing. But is there any 'standards' for comments, or do we just have to write "comment" in a headline below the idea? --Kasper Hviid 10:25, 30 Oct 2004 (EDT) I think adding comments is fine... it's really up to your judgement. If you see something that doesn't look good, or seems out of place, then feel free to modify it. I'd suggest that, after a while, the comments should be re-written to add more detail to the "game idea" being commented on. Older comments could be removed in this way... otherwise the page might fill up with comments :) Ryan Clark 21:44, 30 Oct 2004 (EDT) i really havent played the games but i have seen them in action and i would like to make a game like this one on the web [edit] RewriteIlg. This REALLY should be rewritten/reorganized. Or at least, it should get a *bit* of structure, and some guidelines on how to stick to them.
I just registered two seconds ago. I use the same user name on Wikipedia. Anyway, to the point, this page is a mess, and I personally wouldn't throw around a good idea, not because it would be stolen, but because it might be stolen and then misused or ruined. Instead, it would probably be better to have a forum for throwing around ideas on game engines and/or tutorials, and perhaps some file swapping between users. An irc chat page would be a real good idea. Dessydes [edit] Use directly a wiki of Ideas ;)Take a look at Idiki: http://idiki.dyne.org and at the Game category: http://idiki.dyne.org/wiki/Category:Game -- Is it possible to include all the pages which belongs to the category Game of Idiki in this wiki? [edit] Second LifeSecond Life is just someone who bought a AlphaWorld/ActiveWorld server from ActiveWords (or Worlds Inc. depending on when they bought it). The orignal is still at activeworlds.com and Worlds Inc news product Worlds Chat is at worlds.com. I'm not sure I'd call either a "game". |
