Game ideas: Open Ended Resident Evil City

Doesn't have to have a real in depth story line, but the basic idea is a big city map, within which the goal is simply survival. The game is open-ended, with no final objective. Gameplay consists of fighting zombies and other monster types. Multiplayer features would be what makes it good, such as being able to team up with 10 or 20 other people and take on hordes of zombies and the undead..... The world should be in-depth and interactive, and be randomly generated each time the game is played. Many different interactions with the world should be possible. The main focus should be kept on survival, with the presense of the zombies and other undead constantly effecting player decisions/actions. Possible gameplay activities based from this include boarding up a house and attempting to keep enemies out, etc. Military forces surround the map, and fire on anything that attempts to leave the gameplay area. The game should include a wide array of weaponry, armour-types, and utility items for players to interact with.
Shozen adds People could turn into zombies if they get bitten. There could be some antidote hidden in the city. There could be a goal too like find the source of the plague and destroy it.. The Rooster adds Downed players that are turned into zombies could make the game a "Last man standing" survival game. Whereas those who are zombies could gain abilites like full map radar and respawn. Churuya thinks... I really don't believe human zombies would be a good thing. Zombies, generally, are supposed to be stupid. Humans would hide in a corner/behind a door and deliberately camp. |
