Want to help us out? You can! The Game Programming Wiki appreciates any help it can get, so here's some things that can be done.

For Readers

Read the wiki often? Here's a few things you could do to help us out while you read!

The following are templates, which are little segments you can insert into a page. If you find a page that applies to any of the following, feel free to add these tags! After adding them, make sure to discuss the reasons for the tag in the discussion tab of the article.

To add any of these templates, click the Edit link at the top of the desired page. At the very top of the page (above any editors comments), add the following:

  • {{Warning:Messy}} - This is used to indicate that a page is either unorganized, contains typos or spelling errors, or has other things that make the article hard to read. Be sure to differentiate between a messy article and a technically advanced article that is simply hard to understand.

Only add those that apply to the page. Remember to discuss the page on the discussion tab! The braces are part of the template. For an example, click here. This shows the proper use of the template in the edit tab, along with a proper comment in the discussion tab. And a very messy page. :)

For Editors

  • Category:Messy Pages - These pages have been marked as messy! Help out by tidying them up. Once you believe they have been cleaned sufficienty, remove the tag and comment on the discussion page.
  • Template Candidates - These pages do not yet confrm to the use of templates. Help out by formatting them to keep a clean look across the wiki! Warning - Advanced use of templates!
