Common Lisp

From GPWiki

Common Lisp is a language in the Lisp family with several major implementations for various platforms, an official specification, and the largest body of libraries and tools of any surviving Lisp dialect.

Success Stories

While not commonly suggested for game development, there is one famous example: Naughty Dog created both of their famous game series (Crash Bandicoot and Jak And Daxter) using Allegro CL to create two Lisp-like languages for developing the games (not by developing the games directly in Common Lisp). Lisp was abandoned when Naughty Dog was purchased by Sony.
