My paycheck is upcoming, and I've assembled a short-list of the items I'm considering purchasing.
Logitech X-530's
Logitech Z-4's
Logitech MX518
Assorted games
The X-530's are a nice option for surround sound (there's a sale on) in the price range they're in. Reviews I've read indicate they're quite good if you aren't a big audiophile (I like to play my music pretty loud, but I don't really have all to many songs, or use the speakers all that oftent.). They'll also be good once we move this PC out of the dining room and into the basement (and get a DVD player for this).
The Z-4's are 2.1 speakers, and if I can get them at sub-90 dollars (I doubt) or convince my dad to make up the difference, I think they'd be generally a better choice for my volume-crazy habits. Plus, the sub is much bigger, which is good for floor-rumbling.
The MX518...well, it's listed on the staples website but I'm not sure if it's in store. I really like the looks of it, but I dunno if it's instock.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has and of the afformentioned products, or related ones they can recomend. (You probably noticed that everything I had listed was from Logitech...) _________________ "The Americans will always do the right thing... After they've exhausted all the alternatives."

Yeah. I have a basic 5-dollar logitech mouse now, and it's really good. From what I hear, Logitech mice generally have the best ergonomics (for right handies, anyway) of mice on the market. _________________ "The Americans will always do the right thing... no one uses left handed mice... I mean no one that I know of that's left handed does... and I'm left handed. Logitech seems good unless you want a really good mouse... then go with the G7, I forgot the full name my brother has one and it seems to be the nicest mouse I've ever seen. It's wireless and the way it recharges is nice. It has a clip so all of a sudden, like yesterday, he was playing and all of a sudden his mouse ran out of power he lifted up the mouse and pushed a button and the battery pack ejected and he slammed in a new one and kept playing... very stylish... _________________ /\/////////// \\\\\\\\\\\/\S

Well, the G7's are a bit out of my price range, and I don't think I know any stores with them in-stock. _________________ "The Americans will always do the right thing... After they've exhausted all the alternatives."

I have an ambidexterous mouse, and I use it in both hands... but not at the same time. I do it to prevent RSI. I really like it too, but it is a microsoft mouse, not your logitech one _________________ Trying is the first step towards failure

I've had a few Logitech mice, I haven't had problems with them. Right now I have a Logitech MX700 high-resolution optical cordless mouse, and can recommed it |

Yeah, I hear good things about logitech mice. I dunno about getting one though, the ones in stock at stores are probably a little to expensive. If the speakers/mice I want aren't in stock, a logitech dual-action gamepad and a few games would be nice. _________________ "The Americans will always do the right thing... Logitech, bah, where's Master when you need a rant. Logitech is evil. Their mice are too expensive and have too many buttons, and their keyboards have all sorts of function keys cluttering them up. Some of the fancier ones make you install their crappy software to do anything with them.
I'm using a standard MS wireless optical mouse on this machine, and a MS notebook mouse for the laptop. Logitech mice work really bad in Linux, too.
Hamster-case-mod: That can't be good for the hamster. The heat could get pretty bad if they don't have it designed correctly. |
